On your ride by bus from Miami to Key West you will be able to see and to cross the famous "Seven Mile Bridge". Just for fun it is interesting to mention that this bridge was featured in movies such as True Lies, 2 Fast 2 Furious, Up Close & Personal etc.
This island at the Keys is rather small in size - only 2 miles wide by 4 miles long, but it has a very rich history and culture. There are a lot of activities that you can try out once you reach the island - snorkeling, scuba diving, jet skiing, parasailing, swimming with dolphins, etc.
